What makes us different

  • Patient and physiotherapist sitting at a desk talking

    Why time matters

All our appointments are 45 minutes. This allows us to listen carefully, assess thoroughly, and explain clearly. We focus on building understanding, not just providing a quick fix.

  • Man standing on outdoor staircase holding water bottle

    A broader approach

Our training in the Netherlands has shaped how we practise. We use the biopsychosocial approach, considering movement, education, and the wider factors that influence pain. This is especially important for persistent or recurring issues.

  • Closeup of a physiotherapist measuring the angle of a knee bend

    Evidence-based care

Our approach is grounded in current evidence and clinical reasoning. We focus on what is most likely to support long-term improvement, not just short-term relief.

  • Closeup of hands massaging skin

    Active recovery, not ongoing treatment

Hands-on treatment still has a place. We use it to reduce pain or stiffness so you can engage better in active, movement-based rehabilitation.

  • A woman crouching on a wooden floor holding dumbbells

    Our goal

The goal is not ongoing treatment. It is helping you understand your body, build independence, and achieve lasting change.

Our story

Pivot Point Physio was founded by Paul and Elina; a husband-and-wife team of HCPC-registered chartered physiotherapists. We both trained in the Netherlands, where physios work as first-contact clinicians, taking full responsibility for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment from day one. That training taught us to ask better questions, take time to understand the full picture, and help people make real sense of their pain and movement. Those principles shape every session we run today.

"When you no longer need us, we see that as a success…"

"When you no longer need us, we see that as a success…"

"When you no longer need us, we see that as a success…"

What we believe

We built Pivot Point Physio because we wanted to practise in a way that felt honest, for both patients and clinicians. Success, to us, isn't measured in repeat visits. It's measured by how well you understand your own body, how confident you feel moving, and how little you need us over time. When you no longer need us, we see that as a success.
