Star balance
The Star Balance Exercise (sometimes called the Star Excursion Balance Exercise) involves balancing on one leg while tapping targets on the floor with the foot of the free leg. The targets are placed in a circle around the standing leg. The larger the circle, the more challenging the exercise. This exercise is more fun and effective if the targets are randomly chosen by a trainer or exercise partner. This tool can be used to replicate that experience when practising alone.
